Port Newark, USA – Import Demurrage Changes Update

As an update to the letter dated January 25, 2021 we would like to inform you that with effect from March 1, 2021 Hapag-Lloyd will revise the import demurrage Free Time in the United States as follows:

Newark: MAHER TERMINAL

As clarification, the amount of free-time remains the same.

For Standard Dry Containers DOD plus 4 working days.
For Special Containers: DOD plus 2 working days
For Temperature Controlled: DOD plus 2 working days

DOD = Day of Discharge DOD
WD = Working Day for the USA (excludes Sat, Sun, Bank Holiday)
WD = Working Day for Canada (excludes Sat, Sun)
CD = Calendar Day
