Price Announcement for Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) – Turkey and Greece to the West Coast South America

In a continued effort to provide you with a high level of service, uninterrupted liner services and equipment supply, Hapag-Lloyd will increase the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all dry container from Mersin, Aliaga, Turkey to Buenaventura, Colombia and to Ecuador, Peru and Chile (all ports served).

Effective as of February 15, 2021 and valid until further notice the PSS will be increased to:

  • USD 200 per TEU from Mersin and Aliaga, Turkey

To Buenaventura, Colombia and Ecuador the PSS increase will be effective as of March 5, 2021.
The PSS from Greece will remain at EUR 100 per container as previously announced.


Hapag-Lloyd will also apply a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all dry container from Istanbul, Izmit, Gemlik and Iskenderun to Buenaventura, Colombia and to Ecuador, Peru and Chile (all ports served).

Effective as of February 15, 2021 and valid until further notice the PSS will be as follows:

  • USD 200 per TEU from Istanbul, Izmit, Gemlik, Iskenderun, Turkey

To Buenaventura, Colombia and Ecuador the PSS will be effective as of March 5, 2021.

The Ocean Tariff rates as well as Bunker-related surcharges, Security-related surcharges, Terminal Handling Charges (THCs) remain unchanged respectively as announced and can be found here.

Other local charges and contingency surcharges may apply in addition.
