Qatar - Resumption of import/export cargo acceptance

We would like to inform you that with immediate effect, Hapag-Lloyd has opened acceptance of cargo (export and import) between Qatar and the following countries:

• United Arab Emirates
• Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Egypt
• Bahrain

However please note that for Imports into Qatar from these four countries, the Consignee/ Cargo Interest will need to apply and secure an approval* from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Qatar.
This approval must be secured before the cargo loads from any of these named origin countries as it will be required to clear import cargo in Qatar.

All other normal trade/commodity related shipping conditions on both exports and imports in Qatar remain unchanged. Kindly refer to our service finder on the website here as this resumption also opens up transshipment opportunities and routings may have changed.

*The Importer in Qatar is advised to check and seek more information from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Qatar on the approval procedures.
