Based upon the unprecedented worldwide logistics imbalance situation and tight charter market environment, Hapag-Lloyd will take necessary measure in our US Gulf – South America East Coast Service (GS1).
The MV Torrente will be taken out of the GS1 service on her voyage 2113NB for two and a half round voyages. During this time period, she will be utilized to reposition equipment and also perform her programmed dry-dock in the Mediterranean in September. Finally, she will phase back into the GS1 in Buenos Aires, October 15th (voyage 2137NB).
Local offices will work with customers to accommodate bookings already made for this vessel on the earliest possible alternative sailing.
In order to mitigate the commercial impact caused by this measure, we are evaluating different options of reshuffling our fleet on other services to provide an alternative solution for GS1 for these voyages. A detailed plan will be communicated in due course.
