Shipping from the West of Africa? A new booking window is coming into effect

With your cargo planning in mind, we would like to provide you with an update on booking windows. Hapag-Lloyd in the West of Africa will implement a booking window effective June 28, 2021, that will apply to all trades.

With this new booking window, we will be limiting our booking approvals to 21 days prior to vessel ETD (Estimated Time of Departure).

Here are a few details that we would like to highlight:

• The calculation of the booking window is based on the bookings’ receipt date until vessel ETD from the respective feeder or mainliner voyage.
• All bookings received as of the effective date (June 28, 2021) will follow the booking window logic.
• Any bookings received as of the effective date that fall outside the 21-day booking window scope will be regretfully rejected.
• The geographical scope for the West of Africa includes Angola, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, and Senegal.
