There are changes coming up for our Middle East India Africa Express (MIAX) service
There are changes coming up for our Middle East India Africa Express (MIAX) service. To ensure the bi-weekly frequency between these three geographies and continue connecting them with efficiency, the service will temporarily omit Cape Town, South Africa.
For your guidance and cargo planning, please note that the last sailings to call Cape Town will be:
- Westbound: MV CHESAPEAKE BAY V. 2134W, with Estimated Time of Sailing
October 2, 2021 - Eastbound: MV CHESAPEAKE BAY V. 2134E, with Estimated Time of Sailing
November 2, 2021.
After these two last sailings, all other vessels that were originally scheduled to call Cape Town on our MIAX service will be omitting this port. For your reference, the first sailings to omit this port will be:
- Westbound: MV XPRESS KARAKORAM V. 2137W
- Eastbound: MV XPRESS KARAKORAM V. 2137E
The Cape Town import cargo booked on the MIAX service will be delivered with other services in our network: South Africa Express 2 (SA2) and South Africa Express (SAX).
We know that these changes might affect your cargo planning, and we will continue to update you on the possible options. If you should require additional information, please contact our customer service team at your location who will guide you based on your individual situation.
