Shipping into Nepal? Good news is coming your way

We are glad to share with you that from November 1, 2021, you will be able to book your cargo up to Birgunj Inland Container Depot (ICD Birgunj) that will be connected via rail to the gateway ports of Kolkata and Visakhapatnam in India.

ICD Birgunj is spread over 100 acres of land and is the only dry port in Nepal with rail connections to gateway ports. The transport solution for this dry port is provided on carrier haulage basis with seven weekly services from Kolkata and ten weekly services from Visakhapatnam. The transport is seamlessly tracked with the help of Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS).

For your easy import cargo planning into Nepal, the Delivery Order (DO) is issued at ICD Birgunj. You will also be able to get the delivery of your imports and return your empty containers.
