The congestion at the United States’ west coast ports is lengthening the waiting times for vessels. With your cargo planning in mind, please find below a few modifications for our MPS service, connecting the Mediterranean with the West Coast of North America, that will be taking place for at least two sailings:
- The following two sailings of our MPS service, MV Synergy Antwerp V. 08W08/08E14 and MV Rotterdam Express 03W10/03E16, will not call the west coast of North America.
- The cargo bound to Long Beach and Oakland will discharge in an ad-hoc call at Norfolk and will be transported by rail to the original port of discharge. This service will be offered without extra charges, but is subject to rail conditions.
- Any cargo bound to the US west coast that does not meet the rail conditions for transport from Norfolk will be routed via transshipment at Cartagena, Colombia.
- All cargo bound to Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala and Manzanillo, Mexico will be discharged at Cartagena and routed through other services to their final destination.
If you are shipping cargo with our MPS service, you will receive an updated booking confirmation with the new details. We will continue to share information related to this update as soon as it is made available, and thank you for your understanding.
