The current Safety and Security Declaration (S&S GB) regulation requires advanced filings for cargo arriving at Great Britain ports on vessels from non-EU countries, whether the cargo is discharged, transshipped, or remains on board.
From January 31, 2025, filings will also be required for cargo on vessels sailing from the EU Customs Territory. This means that for cargo loaded at EU ports onto vessels calling at a port in Great Britain, the shipping instructions must be lodged no later than the documentation cut-off. Your booking confirmation will indicate whether your cargo is affected, and you can view this under customs requirements. Please note that to comply with the UK Government's advanced filing requirements for safety and security declarations, we must strictly follow a "No doc / no load" policy for EU shipments. These declarations are required not only for cargo being discharged or transshipped in Great Britain but also for cargo remaining on board (FROB) while the vessel calls at a port in Great Britain.
