Here's an update on Demurrage & Detention in Italy
If you're shipping to Italy, please note the following update to the Demurrage & Detention tariffs. From July 1st, 2025, we will implement a combined tariff structure, simplifying the invoicing and tracking process under the code MHD (or DTD in case of Carrier Haulage) :
- Applies to all import containers in Italy (all ports)
- Starts at 00:01 on the day of discharge
- Ends when the empty unit is returned to depot (GIMT)
- Weekends and public holidays are fully countable
For your reference, please find below a summary of the new combined tariff application:
