Expanding our presence in the Middle East: New office in Oman
Today, we officially opened our new office in Muscat, Oman, which will further strengthen our presence in the Middle East and improve our service to you across the Gulf region.
With a population of approximately 5.57 million, Oman’s economy is experiencing steady and sustainable growth. Major international financial institutions project real GDP growth between 2.3 and 3.1 percent in 2025, driven by the country’s diversification efforts under the national Vision 2040 plan. While oil and gas remain important pillars, Oman’s expanding non-oil sectors – including logistics, manufacturing, tourism, renewable energy, mining, and fisheries – continue to increase the country’s economic resilience.
Located along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman, the country plays a vital role as a logistics hub for regional and global trade. We already maintain a strong network here, offering weekly services via Sohar, a key gateway for imports and exports, while Salalah functions as a major transshipment hub - also within our Gemini Cooperation. In 2024, Oman’s ports handled more than 4 million TEUs, underlining the country’s growing significance in international supply chains. The country exports petrochemicals, petroleum, natural gas, metals, aluminum, and seafood, while importing machinery, consumer goods, transport equipment, and mineral products.
