A Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) is coming into effect for shipments from the Far East to the Upper Gulf

A Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) is coming into effect for shipments from the Far East to the Upper Gulf, Persian Gulf and Arabian Gulf.

This PSS is applicable for all sailings from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan (China) commencing on March 6, 2026, until further notice.

The details for this PSS are listed below:

  • USD 500 per 20’ container
  • USD 1000 per 40’ container

This surcharge applies to any booking issued on or after March 6, 2026, as well as all bookings already issued but which have not yet shipped to Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia (Dammam and Jubail) including Red Sea, Pakistan and Sokhna via Jebel Ali. The charge is to be borne by the Sea Freight payer.
