Middle East: Emergency Operations Charge (EOO/EOD) for Third-Party Feeder Services
Due to ongoing geopolitical developments, fuel prices have increased significantly, impacting feeder operations provided by third-party service providers.
In addition to the previously announced Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS), we are now facing bunker cost increases from our third-party feeder operators. As the EFS covers incremental fuel costs within Hapag-Lloyd-operated services, these additional third-party cost increases require a separate surcharge.
We will therefore introduce the Emergency Operations Charge (EOO/EOD) to address the operational costs related to third-party feeder services.
The surcharge will be applied as follows:
- EOO (Origin): Emergency Operations Charge at origin
- EOD (Destination): Emergency Operations Charge at destination
The applicable surcharge level is as follows:
- Per TEU: USD 35
