Saudi Arabia: Cross-border cargo via Jeddah – alternative solutions
Please note that Merchant Haulage cross-border cargo movements via Jeddah are not accepted until further notice. This applies to all Merchant Haulage bookings where the final consignee is located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
To maintain service continuity for affected shipments, alternative routings will be arranged depending on operational feasibility. Containers may be moved by truck or via alternative vessel connections.
The following charges will apply based on cargo arrival in Jeddah. For non-FMC regulated shipments, the charges apply with immediate effect. For FMC-regulated shipments, the charges will apply from August 10, 2026. The charges are valid until further notice.

Alternative options are available as follows:
- Cargo destined for Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates will be redirected through alternative transshipment hubs, followed by inland or feeder connections to final destinations.
- Cargo to Dammam or Jubail will continue to move through the established land bridge solution.
