Hapag-Lloyd’s Service Explorer is an interactive, dynamic tool that brings our global network to life – clear, visual, intuitive, and always up to date. Unlike traditional service pages or static maps, it gives you a real-time overview of how ports, regions, and in future also inland points are connected across our entire network.

Whether you are planning a shipment, comparing routing options, or exploring trade connectivity, the Service Explorer helps you make informed decisions by showing network structure and routing possibilities at a glance. The tool is continuously updated with network information, ensuring that the routing logic reflects the current service landscape.

The linear port rotation shows all ports served and the order in which they are called, helping you quickly understand how the service is structured. With “Show on map,” the service can be highlighted directly on the global network map for geographic context.

See all possible routings between a selected origin and destination, including transshipment options via hub ports. Each routing is visualized on the map and listed in the results panel, allowing you to select and explore individual parts of the route before continuing to Schedule for detailed planning.

See Terminal Information directly on the Map

See terminal-specific information directly within the Service Explorer. By selecting a port or terminal, you can access details such as address, contact information, and opening times without leaving the map. Additional terminal-related information will be added over time as the Service Explorer continues to evolve.

The Service Explorer is an interactive visualization tool that shows how Hapag-Lloyd’s ports, regions, and service structures are connected across our global network. It is designed as a foundation to add more service and location context over time - for example additional information on ports, regions, trades, and further data layers.

Service Explorer: focuses on network connectivity and routing possibilities. 
Schedule: focuses on vessel departures and booking details. 
Both tools complement each other.

The routing logic and service structures are continuously updated using data from Hapag-Lloyd’s operational systems.

Yes. The Service Explorer shows indicative transit times for each routing option. 

Yes. Inland connections will be added progressively as part of ongoing enhancements. 

Export options are planned for a future update. For now, all route details can be viewed directly online. 

The Service Explorer will continue to evolve. We are gradually adding more details, expanding inland visibility, and refining the user experience step by step to support even better planning and transparency.
