Hapag-Lloyd to move its US-Headquarter to Atlanta this summer

In summer 2022, the headquarters of Region North America will move from Piscataway, New Jersey, to Atlanta, Georgia. From then on, around 85 percent of the employees working in the US (about 750 people) will work there. Area Canada and the Long Beach office are not affected by these changes.

“We look forward to bringing more of our team together, in a best-in-class workspace,” said Uffe Ostergaard, President, Region North America. “Ultimately, this will improve service to our customers, and position our team to grow and thrive.”

“We look forward to bringing more of our team together, in a best-in-class workspace. Ultimately, this will improve service to our customers, and position our team to grow and thrive.”

The new workspace will be designed according to Hapag-Lloyd´s “Future Way of Working” principles and be based in a state-of-the-art building, at a central and easily accessible location. The new facility will be uniquely designed to meet the evolving needs of our staff and will offer various on-site amenities.

As early as 01 January 2022, the North East (NNE) and South West (NSW) sales territories were merged into a single USA sales territory, creating "one country, one territory", also with headquarters in Atlanta. Our new headquarters will then be the next step and will be located at the following address from summer:

3 Ravinia Dr NE
Atlanta, GA 30346, USA

The building features a spectacular, indoor vertical garden. This four-story “living wall” contains over 15,000 plants and is one of the largest indoor green walls in North America.
