China/Taiwan - Import Restriction on recyclable waste paper & plastic scraps

We would like to inform you that the Environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan (EPA) published an announcement regarding import restrictions on waste products including plastic scraps and recyclable waste paper into Taiwan.

Should the responsible authorities detect any violations, cargo will be returned to origin and authority will impose penalty charges.

With immediate effect, for plastic scrap the Shipper is required to sign a Letter of Indemnity (LOI) and submit to Hapag-Lloyd Booking office at time of booking.
