Venezuela: From USA and Canada, Booking information

With the recent requirement for shipments from USA and Canada to Venezuela, and in order for Hapag-Lloyd to ensure full compliance with the new regulation, there will be a No-Doc, No-Load policy implemented.

Prior to Booking Acceptance, the following mandatory information needs to be provided to your Hapag-Lloyd Customer Service Representative, who will submit for Venezuela office approval.

  • Shipper name
  • Consignee name (no TO ORDER no foreign consignee accepted)
  • Notify Party name
  • Full commodity/cargo description
  • For Venezuela located parties the following is also required
  • Tax ID
  • Phone and email contact

Shipping Instruction must be received 48 hours prior to normal document cut-off. If they are not received by this time, your shipment will not be loaded.

  • The Shipping Instruction must contain the same information as provided at time of booking for the following items:
  • Shipper name
  • Consignee name (no TO ORDER no foreign consignee accepted)
  • Notify Party name
  • Full commodity/cargo description
  • Tax ID
  • Phone and email contact 

If there are discrepancies in this information between the booking and shipping information, then your shipment will be placed on hold and not loaded until the Venezuela office has approved the changes. Any costs related to this delay will be for the account of the merchant.
