Temporary suspension of new bookings from Europe and Mediterranean (including North Africa) to West Africa

The accumulated operational constraints on our West African services are heavily affecting connection of cargo from North Europe and Mediterranean. As a result, we are facing challenging transhipment operations and congestion in Tangier as well as in our main hubs in North Europe.

Hapag-Lloyd therefore have to unfortunately temporarily suspend booking of new cargo from North Europe and Mediterranean (including North Africa) to West Africa, including Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, Mauritania and Benin, with immediate effect and until further notice.

We are working on easing up the situation and will reinstate acceptance as soon as possible, which will be announced accordingly.
