An OCR between North & South Europe to and from Egypt is coming up

The dynamic situation in the Red Sea and the necessary operational adjustments are causing disruptions throughout the network which will impact schedules and equipment supply in the IRT Europec trade resulting in significantly higher cost. Therefore, an Operations Cost Recovery Surcharge (OCR) is coming into effect for shipments between North* & South Europe* to and from Damietta, Port Said and Sokhna, Egypt.

The OCR will be in effect from January 15, 2024 and is applicable to all containers and cargo types until further notice, with the exception of direct routings to and from Damietta, EG on our ADX Service.

The details for this OCR are listed below and follow the applicable currency used with regard to the sea freight:

• USD 500 per TEU Dry & Special container / EUR 500 per TEU Dry & Special container
• USD 750 per TEU Reefer container /  EUR 750 per TEU Reefer container

*North Europe: Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Estonia, Iceland, Luxembourg
*South Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Montenegro, Libya, Romania, Cyprus, Slovenia, Lebanon, Turkey, Ukraine, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Algeria, Morocco, Malta, Tunisia
