Your citrus exports from South Africa just got an upgrade!

Starting this year, from the end of May through September, get ready for the seamless connectivity of our seasonal Citrus Loader, with weekly departures from Durban and the Eastern Cape during the peak citrus season. This service will support our long-term commitment with the South African export market, covering seasonal needs during 2024 and the coming years.

Our Citrus Loader will connect your cargo from Durban and the Eastern Cape directly to our terminal in Tangier, to all final destinations in North Europe, the Mediterranean and the East Coast of the United States and Canada.

Our Citrus Loader – here’s what you need to know:

  • Reefer plugs: our seasonal service will provide growers and exporters with an average of 800 plugs per sailing.
  • Reefer units: to cater for your requirements, we have pre-positioned 2.200 brand-new reefers to South Africa, ready to meet your demands.
  • Expert support: our on-the-ground the service will be supported by additional depots and dedicated professionals to ensure quality in the execution of our services. From pre-trip inspections and container release to the final delivery at destination.
  • Reefer value-added services: Reefer remote monitoring for more cold chain transparency, Controlled Atmosphere to address the need of highly sensitive products, Cold Treatment to comply with governmental regulations and a Control Tower to proactively ensure on time loading and delivery of our cargo.

Our Citrus Loader will be an extension of one of our West Africa services to support the South African fresh produce industry.
