If you're shipping to and from the West Coast of South America as well as Central America to Europe, we've got good news for you. As part of our quality strategy, aiming for an on-time delivery rate of more than 80%, we have put considerable efforts into strengthening our operational excellence and improving the schedule reliability of our services. As these efforts are consistently paying off, we thought it would be a good time to summarize some of these with you and show the results so far:

With your cargo planning in mind, we have implemented the following adjustments to our South America Westcoast service (SWX):

  • Manzanillo (PA) was removed from the NB leg.
  • Berth windows in Cartagena (CO) and Caucedo (DO) were adjusted to gain buffer.
  • Rotterdam (NL) call was moved to ECT DDE (Hutchison Port ECT Delta) terminal.
  • Le Havre (FR) omission extended until further notice to ensure improved reliability.

For your reference, here's an overview of the new rotation:

SWX

With these changes, we have been able to increase our schedule reliability on the SWX service from 53% in February to 96% in July while also reducing the average delay from 57 hours to just 6.

With your cargo planning in mind, we have implemented the following adjustments to our Carribean Express Service (CES):

  • Caucedo (DO) has been replaced by Cartagena (CO) to improve connectivity from Guatemala and Honduras.
  • London Gateway (GB) was temporarily replaced by Felixtowe (GB) due to terminal congestion and increased waiting times.
  • Rotterdam (NL) was removed from the rotation.
