Spain and Portugal: Updated Inland Emergency Fuel & Energy Surcharges

With reference to our previous announcement, please note that we will adjust the Inland Fuel Floater (Diesel) for applicable inland services in Spain and Portugal. This adjustment follows the continued volatility in international energy markets and the resulting fluctuations in diesel prices, which remain a key cost component of inland transportation and handling.

The following Inland Fuel Floater (Diesel) will apply:

  • Fuel Origin / Destination Inland (FOI / FDI): Export / Import Inland Haulage from / to Spain and Portugal
  • Effective date: April 8, 2026 for all container types and all trades except shipments subject to FMC
  • Charge level: 9.5% on truck transports and 5% on combined rail (rail + truck) transports
  • Validity: The emergency fuel surcharge FOI / FDI will end on May 3, 2026. As from that day, all fuel costs will be managed through the dedicated FSO / FSD charge, which will be reviewed periodically.
