Shipping from South America East Coast to Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico? HLC updates are available

If you’re shipping from the East Coast of South America to the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico, please keep in mind that a Heavy Lift Charge (HLC) is coming into effect. This THC is effective from August 29, 2021.

For your reference, please find below the scope of the HLC.

• Container size 20’ dry: USD 200
• Applicable to all 20’ dry general cargo containers with a payload above 25 metric tons.

The geographical scope of these changes is described as follows:

• East Coast of South America: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
• Countries in the Caribbean and Central America, and Mexico
