Saudi Arabia – Hazardous Cargo Restriction for Charcoal

Further to our customer letter dated November 16, 2016, we would like to inform you that the custom authorities of Saudi Arabia continue to have a hazardous cargo restriction in place and all containers containing charcoal or carbons destined for Saudi Arabia (all ports) must be declared as Dangerous Goods.

This also applies for transshipment cargo via all Saudi Arabia ports. However, charcoal shipments with Saudi Arabia port in transit (onboard) can be shipped as general/non-dg cargo if in compliance with SP925 of IMDG code.
