China - Restriction on acceptance of Waste Cargo

In accordance to the recently announced legislation by the Government of People’s Republic of China on “Forbidden of Import solid waste cargo into China”, we would like to inform you that we will stop accepting solid waste cargo into China.
This is applicable to all solid waste cargo such as wastepaper, waste plastics, waste metals, waste chemicals etc. and it will take effect from January 1, 2021 (cargo arrival date).

To avoid any unnecessary disruption, we appreciate your assistance and cooperation as any violation will result in a Customs ordered return of shipment and a possible fine might be imposed.

Kindly take note of the detailed list of prohibited items as shown under Appendix and refer to MEE page for more information regarding to this matter.
