Mexico – Chassis Waiting times - Inland Tariff

We would like to inform you that effective July 17th, 2021 Hapag-Lloyd Mexico will revise the Mexico import and export inland tariff in regards to waiting times.

Chassis waiting charges for loading/unloading cargo at customer facility will be adjusted as follows under charge codes (after expiration of tariff free times):

Exports: WAO (waiting charges origin)
Imports: WAD (waiting charges destination)

  • Normal service increase chassis detention fee for dry cargo after 12 free hours from USD 125 per chassis/container to 175 USD per chassis/container
  • Normal service increase chassis detention fee for reefer after 12 hours free time from USD 125 per chassis/container to 225 USD per chassis/container
  • Premium service for dry boxes increase fee from 125 USD after 6 hours free time per chassis/container to 175 USD per chassis/container
  • Premium service for reefer boxes increase fee from 125 USD after 6 hours free time per chassis/container to 225 USD per chassis/container
  • Local moves after 6 hours free at 125 USD per box to be increased to 175 USD for next period after free time (no reefers available)
  • All charges applicable for each additional 6 hours or fraction thereof

Our Premium Service product specification will be updated accordingly as well.

Our Pick Up & Drop Off services remain as previously announced on May 27th for Q3.
