Shipping from Europe to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia? An increase to the Dangerous Goods Premium (DGP) is coming up

Strait of Hormuz Surcharges Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Europe Saudi Arabia

An increase to the existing Dangerous Goods Premium (DGP) from North Europe and the Mediterranean Sea to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is coming up. The existing DGP will be increased for all container types carrying Dangerous Goods, except DG Classes 1 and 7, for all sailings commencing on September 1, 2026, until further notice.

The increase to the existing Dangerous Goods Premium is as follows:

  • USD 1,000 per container

The Ocean Tariff rates as well as Bunker-related surcharges, Security-related surcharges and Terminal Handling Charges (THCs) remain as announced and are valid until further notice. Please keep in mind that local and contingency charges may also apply.
