Netherlands: Rotterdam Import Releases via Portbase

Your releases in port of Rotterdam are processed within PORTBASE Chain of Trust.

The Chain of Trust eliminates the usage of pincodes in Rotterdam and creates a safe environment for all logistics parties in the port of Rotterdam. When you receive a release from Hapag-Lloyd, it will be visible in the Portbase Cargo Controller
module.

Within Cargo Controller, you can nominate an Inland Operator or transfer your release right to another
Cargo Director (e.g. local Forwarder).
 

  • Your company requires an account in Portbase on Cargo Controller Import
  • Once set-up, you connect your Portbase account to Hapag-Lloyd Rotterdam
  • After the connection is confirmed by Hapag-Lloyd, all your future releases will be visible in Cargo Controller Import.
  • Within Cargo Controller Import, you can nominate your Inland Operator or forward the release right to another Cargo Director
  • You also have the option in Portbase to subscribe to Cargo Release Manager which is free of charge and allows you to redirect your releases.
  • When you as consignee hand over the first release right to another party with a Letter of Attorney, you must ensure that the 1st release party relates to Hapag-Lloyd Rotterdam as Cargo Director. When the release to party only acts as inland operator and not as cargo director, we are unable to send them your release.

  • customer code in Portbase for Hapag-Lloyd: please contact your local customer service or you can check your account in the SCR Admin app where the SCR ORG ID number is your customer reference for Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Your account on SCR remains active and mandatory. The platform will serve as underlying distribution platform to transfer your releases automatically to Portbase.
  • The SCR app (User Interface) does not have to be used anymore to transfer & revoke release rights. Downloading pincodes is no longer possible in SCR.
  • We use your SCR ORG ID number which you can see in your SCR Administrator Portal as Customer reference in Portbase.
