Shipping to Morocco? A new LOI requirement for selected commodities is coming up
Effective September 23, 2026, a new documentation requirement will apply to selected commodities imported into Morocco. Bookings for shipments destined to Morocco containing the commodities listed below will require the submission of a signed Letter of Indemnity (LOI) prior to booking confirmation.
For affected bookings:
- Booking confirmation may be placed on hold pending receipt of the required LOI.
- The LOI must be submitted in the Hapag-Lloyd prescribed format.
- Upon receipt and validation of the LOI, booking processing and confirmation will proceed accordingly
