UAE: Operational Update for import containers discharged at Khorfakkan

Following the Customer Advisory issued by Gulftainer , please note an operational change for import containers with Final Place of Delivery (FPD) Ajman that are discharged at Khorfakkan Commercial Terminal (KCT).

Effective September 28, 2026, these containers will be transferred to Sajaa Dry Port immediately after discharge and will be available for collection from Sajaa Dry Port. The previously applicable three-calendar-day collection period at KCT will no longer apply to these containers.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Import containers discharged at KCT with FPD Ajman will be transferred to Sajaa Dry Port immediately after discharge.
• Customers and consignees should arrange collection of the containers from Sajaa Dry Port.
• If a container needs to move under bond from Sajaa Dry Port to Ajman or another nominated destination, this can be arranged subject to the required customs approval and documentation.
• Please ensure that the necessary documentation and onward transportation arrangements are coordinated in advance to avoid operational delays.
