Cyclone Vayu approaches India
Based on information received from the India Meteorological Department, Tropical Cyclone Vayu is moving towards the northwest coast of India and is expected to pass close to the Gujarat coast on Thursday June 13, 2019.
All port activities, i.e. Port terminal, gate, yard, and rail operations in Mundra, Pipavav, Kandla, and Hazira have been suspended since June 12, 2019, until further notice.
The following vessels are expected to be impacted by these circumstances:
As a precautionary measure, Indian Railways have imposed a restriction on the loading of rakes to/from ports in Gujarat on June 13 to June 14, 2019. Furthermore, the in-transit rakes have also been impacted and movement is slow.
