Port of Durban, South Africa – Charge Implementation for Unassigned Import Containers

In order to support Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) with the earliest possible clearance of import containers, please be advised that Hapag-Lloyd will implement SPD (Local Supplementary Charge, destination) on any import container not assigned to a transporter prior discharge.

We require release documents to be provided to us 24 hours prior vessel berthing in order to have transporter details assigned. This decision has been taken in order to provide a better experience for all concerned and the charge will be implemented effective July 1, 2020 for all trades (excluding USA and other US territories) and July 18, 2020 for USA and other US territories, valid until further notice, as follows:
