North Europe: Updated Inland Emergency Fuel & Energy Surcharges
Due to ongoing volatility in international energy markets, diesel prices have experienced increased fluctuations. As diesel represents a significant cost component of inland transportation and handling, we introduced an Emergency Fuel Surcharge for applicable inland services in our market in March.
The charge code was re-named to EFO / EFD (Emergency Fuel Origin / Emergency Fuel Destination) for global alignment instead of FOI / FDI (Fuel Origin Inland / Fuel Destination Inland).
Please find below an update of the emergency fuel charges applicable to all container types for North Europe which apply for costs which are not covered by the existing fuel surcharges (FSO / FSD):
