Germany: 24-hour warning strike at German seaports may affect operations

A 24-hour warning strike called by ver.di is currently underway at six German seaports: Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Bremen, Wilhelmshaven, Emden and Brake. The strike began on the evening of August 17, 2026.

Operational disruptions at the affected ports are expected during the strike period. We are closely monitoring the situation together with our terminals and operational partners.

Contingency measures have been implemented where needed to minimize the impact. Customers directly affected by operational changes will be informed through the usual channels.
