Vietnam – Revision of Terminal Handling Charges

We would like to inform you that the Terminal Handling Charges (THC) at ports in Vietnam will be amended. Effective as of April 2, 2019 and valid until further notice, the Terminal Handling charges for Vietnam ports will be as follows:

• Standard Container
  VND 2,400,000 / 3,800,000 / 4,500,000 per 20’ / 40’/ 45’
• Reefer Container
  VND 3,200,000 / 4,900,000 per 20’ / 40’
• Special Container
  VND 3,200,000 / 5,200,000 per 20’ / 40’

The above quantum is subject to VAT (Value added tax 5.26 %)

The THC will apply for all trades, including those to and from Europe. The Ocean Tariff rates as well as Bunker-related surcharges, Security-related surcharges, Peak Season surcharges (if applicable) and other THCs remain unchanged respectively as announced and can be found here.

Other local charges and contingency surcharges may apply in addition.
