An OCR between Arabian Gulf and Indian Subcontinent to Latin America, Mexico and Caribbean is coming up

An Operational Recovery Surcharge (OCR) is coming into effect for shipments between Latin America West Coast* & East Coast*, Mexico and Caribbean* to Arabian Gulf* and Indian Subcontinent*, in both directions. The OCR will be in effect from January 1, 2024** and is applicable to all containers and cargo types until further notice.

The details for this OCR are listed below:

From Arabian Gulf and Indian Subcontinent to Latin America West Coast & East Coast, Mexico and Caribbean:

  • USD 750 per 20’ container
  • USD 1500 per 40’ container

From Latin America West Coast & East Coast, Mexico and Caribbean to Arabian Gulf and Indian Subcontinent:

  • USD 500 per 20’ container
  • USD 1000 per 40’ container
  • USD 1500 per 40’ Reefer container

For your reference, the geographical scope of this increase is explained below:

*Arabian Gulf: United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia (Dammam and Al Jubail only).
*Indian Subcontinent: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives.
*Latin America West Coast: Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru.
*Latin America East Coast: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay.
*Caribbean: Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Barbados, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba, Bahamas, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curaçao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, Saint Lucia, Martinique, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname, El Salvador, Sint Maarten, Turks and Caicos Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Venezuela, British Virgin Islands, United States Virgin Islands.

**With the exception of cargo out of Ecuador, Puerto Rico and Colombia to Arabian Gulf and Indian Subcontinent, for which this OCR will apply from February 1, 2024.
