Here's an update on the FIO for India exports
We want to make sure that you keep yourself updated with the latest fees for your preferred origin and destination countries. With this in mind, please note that the Weight Deviation Fee (FIO) charges for Export Cargo from India have changed.
These changes will be applicable from July 18, 2024, for all export shipments from India, with the exception of those that fall under the FMC regulations. In this case, these changes will apply from August 12, 2024.
For your reference, the values with the weight ranges are listed below:
| Charge Code | Weight Deviation | Amount (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| FIO | Over 3 and up to 6 tons | 800 |
| FIO | Over 6 and up to 9 tons | 1200 |
| FIO | Over 9 tons | 2000 |
What you need to know:
- For single container shipments, FIO will be applied if the weight deviation at container level exceeds the prescribed range.
- Over 3 and up to 6 tons
- Over 6 and up to 9 tons
- Over 9 tons
- Please refer to our tariff to view the amounts per level (India Local and Service Charges - Export)
- For multi-container shipments, FIO will be applied if the total weight of all containers at a shipment level deviates in connection with the prescribed range noted in point 1. This deviation is identified between booking and the Verified Gross Mass (VGM), and then the charge will be applied at a container level.
