Shipping from Far East to South America? A GRI is coming up

A General Rate Increase (GRI)/General Rate Adjustment (GRA) from Far East* Baseports to East Coast of South America** Baseports is coming up. This GRI/GRA adjustment is applicable to all containers gated in full from September 1, 2025, and is valid until further notice.

Far East to South America East Coast (Example: Shanghai to Santos / Base Port to Base Port):

Current Rates:

  • 20’ DRY: USD 2,500
  • 40’ DRY: USD 2,700
  • 40’ NOR: USD 2,100

New rates:

  • 20’ DRY: USD 3,000
  • 40’ DRY: USD 3,200
  • 40’ NOR: USD 2,600

This adjustment reflects an increase of USD 500 per container and is applicable to our entire Far East to East Coast of South America (base ports and outports).

 

Far East*: China, Macau, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar,
Malaysia, Laos and Brunei

South America East Coast**: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay
