Shipping from the Far East to Latin America, Mexico, Central America, or the Caribbean? A GRI is coming up
A General Rate Increase (GRI) from Far East* to the East* and West Coast of South America, Mexico, Central America* and the Caribbean* is coming up. This GRI will apply to cargo transported in 20’, 40’ Dry and 40' Non Operating Reefer (NOR) containers. This adjustment takes effect on November 1, 2025, except for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, where it will apply from November 15, 2025.
The details for this GRI are listed below:
This adjustment reflects an increase of USD 1000 per Box to the West Coast of South America, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and USD 1000 per Box to the East Coast of South America and is applicable to our entire Far East to South America East & West Coast, Mexico and Caribbean services (base ports and outports).
- *Far East: China, Macau, Hongkong South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos and Brunei
- *West Coast of South America, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean: Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Chile, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
- *East Coast of South America: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay
