Update on Low Water Surcharge (LWS) implementation to and from Manaus

As water levels on the Amazonas River decrease slower than estimated, we are postponing the Low Water Surcharge (LWS) to and from the Port of Manaus, Brazil.

For your reference, kindly find the details of this Low Water Surcharge (LWS) below:

  • 1000 USD per TEU
  • For Cargo to and from Asia, Middle East and Europe, the LWS will be implemented effective November 1, 2025.

We will continually monitor the water level on the Amazonas river and adjust the effective date in case the start of the dry season will be delayed.
