Update concerning port operations update at Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT)

We are aware that your cargo planning has been impacted by the operational restrictions at Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) caused by the rise in COVID cases in the Shenzhen area. The operational backlog translates into longer waiting times for all vessels that were regularly scheduled to arrive in Yantian. While this situation develops, we keep your cargo planning as our main priority and will continue to deliver updated information to support your supply chain decision-making.

In connection with our customer news issued on June 3, 2021 with vessel updates and June 14, 2021 specifically related to import cargo, we would like to facilitate the most recent vessel updates and options for your cargo.

In the tables below, please find a split of geographical scopes by trade name with the detail of the related vessels including their service name, vessel names and voyages, estimated time of arrival (ETA) and berthing (ETB) where the dates are formatted as day, month, and year. Please refer to the notes in each table for individual updates at vessel and voyage levels. You will notice three types of updates, mainly:

  1. Delays and ongoing updates in Yantian
  2. Berthing shifted from Yantian to Nansha – only featured for Far East and Transpacific trades
  3. Confirmed Yantian omission

Considering the above changes and modifications, we would like to remind you of the following options for your cargo planning:

  1. If you would like to book your cargo to be shipped from Nansha, please ensure to arrange trucking to this port.
  2. You have an option to rebook your cargo scheduled for departure in any of the above vessels by modifying your current booking.
  3. If you take no action, your booked cargo or containers that have already been gated in, will be automatically booked to the next available vessel.
  4. If these options are not workable for you and you would prefer to talk to a human, please contact your local office who are looking forward to helping you. They will ensure that you are assisted and presented with all the workable options related to your individual situation.
  5. For export cargo, please note that export gate ins must be arranged by appointment three days before estimated time of arrival.
  6. For import cargo, please note that import gate outs have no restrictions.
  7. Empty containers gate outs currently have no restrictions.

We keep our thoughts with the teams working at YICT and will continue to supply you with updates concerning operational changes and the vessels that are impacted by this situation.
