An OCR for shipments between Africa and the Red Sea is coming up

With the OCR announcemet for African ports from December 21, 2023 in mind, here is an update.

An Operational Recovery Surcharge (OCR) is coming into effect for various locations to and from Africa. The OCR will be in effect from January 15, 2024 and is applicable to all containers and cargo types until further notice. 

The details for this OCR are listed below:

From Red Sea (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Jemen) to South Africa & East Africa

• USD 750 per TEU

From East Africa to Red Sea (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Jemen)

• USD 750 per TEU
