Interview Process

Step 1 - Screening

  • We'll carefully review your CV to assess how your experience, achievements, and skills align with the requirement of the role. You're a match? You can expect an invitation via email from our Talent Aquisition team including a link to a first (usually virtual) interview via MS Teams. Make sure to confirm the proposd meeting time.

Step 2 - First Interview

  • In your first interview, you will meet at least one contact person from the department and one recruiter – our chance to get to know you as person and yours to hear more about your potential future department, team and what makes Hapag-Lloyd unique.

Step 3 - Second Interview

  • If the first interview turns out to be successful and depending on the position, you will most likely be invited to a second interview (usually in person) which often includes a role-specific case study. Information to prepare well will be shared via E-Mail by your recruiter in advance. Depending on the location your applying for, there may be an additional interview following after the second interview.

Step 4 - Decision

  • We'll let you know our final decision once the recruitment process is complete. If we decide to move forward, we'll discuss the next steps with you. If not, we'll inform you of your decision and will be happy to provide you more detailed feedback upon request.

Tips

We recommend you familiarize yourself in advance with using MS Teams we use for virtual Interviews. Our advice is to have this interview in a quiet environment where you can feel relaxed and focused. If necessary, headphones may help to cancel out any noise.
