Hapag-Lloyd is a global organisation with six regional headquarters in Hamburg, Genoa, Atlanta, Vina del Mar, Singapore and Dubai. Group headquarters is located in Hamburg, where the Executive Board is also based. Group organisation is clearly structured and short decision-making channels ensure efficient work processes.

The Hapag-Lloyd Supervisory Board consists of 16 members (currently one member is being replaced). The Supervisory Board is subject to the Co-Determination Act. Accordingly, the eight representatives of the shareholders are elected by the annual general meeting - with the Supervisory Board proposing the relevant candidates after preparation in the Nomination Committee - and the eight representatives of the employees are elected in accordance with the provisions of the Co-Determination Act.

In order to efficiently handle its responsibilities, the Supervisory Board has set up a Presidential and Personnel Committee, an Audit and Finance Committee, a Mediation Committee and a Nomination Committee.
