Oman- New Rule for Manifest Submission

In line with Sultanate of Oman, Royal Oman Police Directorate General of Customs, advisory reference no. # 2/20/69/1 dated September 16, 2019, new guidelines for manifest submission will be effective from October 1, 2019.

The new regulation stipulates that, Customs manifest for outbound, inbound and transshipment will be filed 24 hours before vessel arrival / departure at all the Ports in the Sultanate of Oman. We urge you to complete your shipping instructions for shipments to & from Oman within the cut offs mentioned on the booking confirmation in order to avoid any potential penalties and/or delays.

Hapag-Lloyd will submit Customs manifest 24 hours prior vessel arrival and departure for all the Ports in the Sultanate of Oman. New regulation will be applicable for Port of Sohar, Port of Salalah & Port of Duqm.

We would like to inform you that this General Directorate of Customs, in coordination with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, is in the process of activating the work of the Container Control and Tracking Office. The Global Container Control Program is to facilitate the movement of trade, the entry of goods and the speed of completion of transactions, which will contribute to enrich the trade movement in the country and promote economic growth and attract foreign investment.
