How to Use The Booking Solution

  1. Register for our Online Business and go to the booking solution.​
  2. Insert your data in each tab of the tool. Click on "Submit" on the Review & Complete tab to finalize your booking.​
  3. Track in My Bookings to see real-time status updates and manage your shipments.​

​Optionally, you can add further services to your booking at any time.

My Bookings is a self-service solution available in our Online Business Suite, designed to simplify the way you manage and interact with your bookings. With just a few clicks, you can easily find your bookings using commercial references such as quotations or contracts, access detailed booking information - including container details - and stay up to date with the real-time status.

Pause and resume your booking anytime, reuse saved templates available for recurring shipments, completing the bookings faster. All of this is available in one centralized place.

Booking Amendments

Booking amendments needed? Submit the required information quickly and simply using the clear and easy-to-fill-in Booking Amendment web form to send a cancellation or update request.
It's even faster using Hapag-Lloyd My Bookings. Save yourself the hassle of keying in the booking number by accessing Booking Amendment using the My Bookings, where the booking number is already prefilled in the form.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bookings

My Bookings is a digital tool that lets you track and manage your shipments in real time. You can check booking status, view container details, search using commercial references, access drafts of incomplete bookings, and create templates to reuse for
future bookings. 

You can access My Bookings through the Book menu in our Online Business Suite. 

In My Bookings, you can view the status of your bookings (confirmed, cancelled, under review, etc.), search using quotations or contracts, check container details and other booking information, and manage your drafts and templates. 

In addition to managing bookings, you now have access to:
a. Drafts: Bookings that were started but not completed.
b. Templates: Saved booking structures that can be reused to speed up future submissions.

You can create a template in two ways:
a. Before submitting a new booking
b. From an existing booking by clicking the three dots (⋮) and selecting Create Template
*Templates are only available for bookings created via the New Web Booking.

Options like “Amend” or “Create Template” are only available for bookings created in the New Web Booking. Bookings made in the Classic system, through EDI, or via external providers do not include these features. 

My Bookings provides real-time updates, ensuring that the information you see is always up to date.

No, templates created in the Classic Web Booking system are not compatible with My Bookings. To use templates in the new system, you will need to recreate them directly in My Bookings.

Booking Amendment

You can access the Booking Amendment web form in two ways: 

The Booking Amendment feature can be accessed from your usual login and no special access is required.

Currently, the service is available in the following countries: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Cambodia, Cameroon, Chile, China, Columbia, Congo, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uruguay, USA*, Venezuela, Vietnam.

You can upload as many documents as you want, up to a total limit of 3 MB for all documents per amendment request. 

Click the Booking Amendment in the menu. Enter the correct booking number, select the “Amendment” radio button, and selectthe appropriate change request reason from the drop-down list. Check the email address and change if not correct, then click submit.

Note: The booking number will automatically be pre-entered into the booking number field if you access the web form the Navigator or My Bookings. 

Yes, you can submit up to 10 amendment types per request.  

Yes, after entering the correct booking number, you can select the “Cancel booking” radio button within the form, select the appropriate cancellation reason from the drop-down list, check the email address (change if not correct), and click the submit  button. For more information, please refer to the User Guide

Booking Creation

No, submitting requests for multiple shipments at once is not possible at the moment. However, you can duplicate or copy a booking right after submission to create and send a new one quickly. 

To ensure swift confirmation, bookings can only be placed with a valid quotation or contract number matching the shipment details. 

The Booking tool covers not only standard containers but also special business cases. You can use it to book reefer containers, out-of-gauge cargo, dangerous goods, and SOC. 

No worries, we have you covered. Your entries are saved whenever you advance to the next screen in our wizard. We also save your data as a draft when you leave the session before being able to finish your web booking.
