Saint John, Canada - NB Terminal Congestion Update 2

As an update to the September 7, 2020 status on Saint John Terminal Congestion:

The Terminal has since advised with respect to Truck pick up:

  • All remaining reefer containers scheduled for local pickup from the Detroit Express, Livorno Express, and Glasgow Express are available. Regular gate hours apply.
  • All remaining dry containers that are scheduled for local pickup and were discharged from the Detroit Express will be available for local pickup as of Monday, September 14, 2020.
  • Dry containers scheduled for local pickup that were discharged from the Livorno Express, and Glasgow Express are not yet available for pickup. DP World will continue to use its best endeavors to make these containers available as soon as possible on an expedited basis however not before the week of September 21, 2020. A schedule will be communicated in advance.

The Terminal has since advised with respect to Rail cargo:

  • Rail operations continue 24/7 as and when railcar equipment is available.

Please be assured all efforts are being made to clear the backlog as quickly and as safely as possible. Please advise customers that truckers arriving for containers that are not identified above will be turned away. We cannot accept any change in nomination from rail to local pickups at this time.

We appreciate your business and your patience as we continue to work hard to meet this unprecedented surge in container traffic.
