Region Middle East – Booking Amendment Policy

We understand that making changes to bookings is a normal course of business and in our endeavor to become Number One For Quality, we strive to action your change requests in a timely fashion.
Of the most common booking change requests that we receive, the majority of them are accepted, updated and new booking confirmations are distributed timely.

There are some booking changes however, that we must restrict and not allow due to their nature of changing the booking components that directly affect the applicable rating.
These are defined as changes to:

  • Marketing Routing Party (MR Code) or Quotation / Rate Agreement (RA) (as announced previously on August 26, 2020)
  • Commodity
  • Change of Positioning Dates or Revalidation (Specific to mainly India exports)

In lieu of the above changes to an existing booking, we will cancel same and a fresh booking will need to be created with the new information.
We appreciate your understanding to this requirement.

The following categories are booking amendments that are accepted and may take longer to process because of the nature of the request that impacts space and rates.
These are defined as changes to, but not limited to:

  • Temperature, humidity, ventilation changes to refrigerated containers
  • Reducing and increasing of containers or changing the container type
  • Origin Depot
  • Weight Change (charges applicable)
  • Service or Routing ChangePreponing or Rolling of the booking
  • Mode of origin transport change
  • Origin and/or Port of Load
  • Destination and/or Port of Discharge

We appreciate your patience while we process the above change requests; our goal is to have the booking amendment confirmation ready within 4 hours.

Your business is important to us and our customer service teams are here to help.

**Applicable for bookings created in these countries: India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Africa countries.
