China - Temporary Measures for Pick-up of Empty Containers

In order to optimize the equipment supply and to meet customers’ demand during the forthcoming Chinese New Year Time period, we will implement a temporary measure. With immediate effect, empty container release window will be expanded from the current 7 days to 10 days for affected depots in mainland China.

Please find details below for your empty container pick-up schedule arrangement. We will keep monitoring and keep you updated if further adjustment is required.

• Empty pick up revised from 7 days to 10 days before vessel ETA for all China ports with immediate effect till January 31, 2021.
• To further expand to 14 days before vessel ETA for all China ports from February 1, 2021 till further notice.

The following exceptional locations with specific equipment type will be maintained at 10 days, subject to further notice.

• Shenzhen: 20’ Dry
• Ningbo: 40’ Dry and 40’HC 
• Shanghai: 40’ Dry and 40’HC
